I have yet to figure out how to print the photos. Perhaps, you might be able to tell me ? Otherwise the camera is only good for posting to facebook or the lytro site.

How can I see a photo in full-screen in my Mac?
Which is the maximum viewable size of a photo?
Are there other form factors out of square photos?

    • Lytro

Rollover the bottom right corner of a picture in the Picture Gallery and you will see a the “Lytro O” Click this “O” to see an option to see “Full View.” We’ve projected living pictures onto 25′ screens – the maximum viewable size is dependent on your monitor or projection capability. Currently, all pictures are displayed 1:1 aspect ratio online and on mobile displays.

What format will pictures be saved as? will they be jpeg, or???
Additionally, can they be sent to Photoshop for further editing?

    • Lytro

Living pictures are saved as LFPs, but you can also choose to save them as a jpeg for printing. More on living pictures, and editing your pictures.

When will the Windows software be ready?

  • Tom

Pictures look great..how will this camera shoot inside? Do you need a flash…what is the megapixels? Great looking camera and concept

  • F. Van Ouytsel

    Great camera
Will or is infra red and UV capture be possible? or are we limited to the visual light?

  • Ian MacConnell

I just love this concept, have you thought of a movie camera version?

    • Lytro

Ian – We’re excited to explore the potential of light field technology, including video.

It’s to bad that this site will not allow editing or corrections to posted comments after the fact. Perhaps the Web Designer is not familiar with the primary focus capability of the “Lytro” is to be able to make latent corrections when desired or needed..

My son just introduced me to the Lytro Camera, and as a retired older photographer from the old school, I am very excited to even think I will be soon getting one. It seems the older I get the less I want to have to adjust my camera to take a photograph. With the advent of computers it is more to my liking to be able to direct my quality of the photograph myself after the fact, when I am not under the stress to get a fast quality event photograph.

  • James Simpson

Okay, when will the technology be available for Video?

Can I choose depth of field?

    • Lytro

“All in focus” or selecting a range of items to be in focus are possible with light field technology.

What a great camera! I want one; but will also wait for the windows model

    • Lytro

Tim. Thanks for your enthusiasm. If you haven’t done so already, sign up to be notified when Windows is ready. We’ll also make sure you get in on any special offers we may have at that time.

I am waiting for the windows model so I can really show you all up!
Hope I will be the first one to get it!

Hmm, tried clicking it, but it’s not interactive? :( *sad face*
